Describe the bug

On https://24pullrequests.com/users/ljharb, i made a PR today, 12/22. It's showing up on 12/19.

(Separately, I manually submitted contributions for the 11th and 12th that aren't showing up)

To Reproduce

Go to https://24pullrequests.com/users/ljharb

Expected Behavior

The 11th, 12th, and 22nd show a contribution.

and now, on 1/1, the calendar has disappeared entirely for some reason, so i can't even spend the next 11 months getting motivated for next December.

I think it's related to #3490 and the auto-gifting logic

That's great project & idea, but short support & feedback for me - IMO it's quite important bug/issue in generale (in my case I don't have the entire calendar full now, even though I have been co-creating during this time, ofc sometimes I have short breaks like everyone else, but I'm sure not in this sample time period), Best greetings & Best wishes for the New Year!

PS> Moreover, we should give an option or information about 'how can I see the xyz date'? As comments above (?year=2021).
