Can't resolve 'chart.js/helpers'

npm 6.13.6

After migrating a project from node 9 to node 13, I started receiving this error:

./node_modules/chartjs-plugin-crosshair/dist/chartjs-plugin-crosshair.esm.js:2:0-50 - Error: Module not found: Error: Can't resolve 'chart.js/helpers'

I tried downgrading packages such as chart.js, ng-2charts, chartjs-plugin-crosshair and also angular versions, but couldn't get it working again. I'm not completely sure at which version migration this problem occurred.

Has anyone faced something similar, any known fixes? Thanks!
