Problem
I can't play songs on spotify online. ( https://open.spotify.com/ ). It randomly picks a song to play and stops audio after 10s of playback.
It only occur in thorium. I tried it in edge and it has no issues.
It plays audio upto 9s but it is not showing in the video, sorry! and when they are automatically switching songs we can hear the music for 0.5s.
I've had this issue before, when ublock filters were out of date.
Also had this issue with all mozilla forks because they don't have the proper DRM certificates to playback content.
Personally I recommend using, spotx https://github.com/SpotX-Official/SpotX or blockthespot https://github.com/mrpond/BlockTheSpot
Electron or whatever spotify uses + the removal of telemetry and ads by these third party wrappers allows it to use less resources than running in a chromium tab, and allows for more functionality.
