Hello, I need to create instrumental versions of all songs on an album that I produced as part of a publishing contract.
It's a folk album with lots of guitars and vocals recorded at the same time. Even though I have access to the mix project, muting the vocals still leaves tons of bleed in other microphones. I have been experimenting with UVR and getting great results, however I'm stumped on this issue:
To achieve best results, I'm trying to use UVR on individual instrument recordings that have bleed, so I can leave the instruments which were overdubbed untouched. However when I run an acoustic guitar recording through the program, the quiet vocals in the background of the guitar recording are not being properly detected. Has anyone had any luck removing quiet vocals from a close-mic'd acoustic instrument recording ?
I'm currently using ensemble mode with a combination of all the recommended algos.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !
Josh :)
