Describe the feature you'd like

We use a knowledge base system where users see changes to documents, and one needs to press the "I have noted the changes" button for acknowledging those changes. Admins then can check if users have read the new information.

The acknowledge system could fit into "Recently Updated Pages" and the page view itself.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing BookStack users

It could enable a quality management system for users to check if the information on BookStack is really transfered to humans and if they read the information.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

As far as I know this is not possible yet.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request

How long have you been using BookStack?

Under 3 months

Thanks for the request @jrzwee but this request is really intent to support a specific business process which is something I generally try to avoid building for in BookStack.

If you're handy with code, it may be possible to build this externally (or integrate other apps/tools to help) using BookStack's methods of extension like webhooks, API and the logical theme system.

I can understand that you do not want to build specific processes, I will have a look in the extension methods :-)

Also, something like #560 would be a workaround for us, I guess.
