@confluence suggests we add support for .cartaignore files which would hide directories from the file browser. For example, if I add var, etc, and tmp to a .cartaignore in the root directory, we could keep the CARTA root directory as / and hide those directories in the browser.

Other options include:

  • Adding something to the config file
  • A flag that keeps paths absolute rather than relative to the CARTA root dir
