Should ... init ... --private really return an MIT license? It should probably return no license at all or a generic copyright license because obviously a private orb will not fall under MIT. Thanks!

I would agree. At minimum, it's misleading.

Really good point! I created a ticket to remove the license on these cases! Thanks for reporting
