Dear Live chapter owner

In latest DRAFT (DASH-IF-IOPv5.0-Part4-DRAFT - r1.docx)
There is "6.6.3.4 Recommended Default Settings"

This is good for connecting packager and client . :)

But , it's better make ServiceDescription.PlaybackRate with default setting as well .

Suggestion is :

Parameter Symbol Proposed default Setting
Maximum Playback Rate/Speed ServiceDescription.PlaybackRate.max 2.0
Minimum Playback Rate/Speed ServiceDescription.PlaybackRate.min 1.0
  • 2.0 is good enough for increasing the consuming speed, too high rate will hurt the network bandwidth (if 4.0x speed, then 4x bandwidth is requried.)

To make coherence user experience cross devices, It's better mark ServiceDescription.PlaybackSpeed is Mandatory/Recommended .
