Faced the sync error with client and sever on DASH Reference player for both ull and non-ull channels #4443

Environment

DASH Reference player:

  • Dash.js version:
    Reference Client 5.0.0
  • Browser name/version:
    Firefox Browsers(124.0.1)(64-bit)
  • OS name/version:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7600U CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.90 GHz
Steps to reproduce
  1. Please provide clear steps to reproduce your problem
    Run the clear channel on 3 to 4 tab
    and watch the playback for max 2hr and min 1hr
  2. If the bug is intermittent, give a rough frequency if possible
    max 2hr and min 1hr
Observed behavior

Put the attached popup like
Failed to synchronization clinet and server time

Expected behavior

1hr it is played OK and after that why this popup was shown
From our application level we have give the akami url to player and received the time from akami url to player as well.
Then why this popup will shown...

We expect the playback need to be continue without any error.

You will need to debug this yourself, it simply looks like the time server was not available for a moment.

Issue is produced often watch thee playback for max 2hr and min 1hr duration

The player is encountering difficulty in requesting the Akamai URL to fetch UTC time. We need to investigate why the player is unable to retrieve the time.
