Back up folders not deleting automatically (new backup not replacing old backup)

Hi! I am new to STG. I have set backup to once a day.

I and have noticed Backup folders keep accumulating in my downloads folder... is this normal?
if so, is there a setting that will eventually erase the older backups? or will new folders be created every day and kept in the dowloads folder until i erase them?
