I think it is no need. you can directly download it from gdrive.

I think the advantage on f-droid is: you can simply install software there without disabling security on your device (install 3rd party apps). f-droid apps are reproducible, virus-free and stripped of tracking libraries.
just installing apks from random gdrives is not recommended. you probably someday end up with malware.
