Manifesto

Hey everyone, I'm Oli, I'm a first year BSc Comp Sci student with a passion for tinkering and hackathons, and I'm running for Trips and Hackathons Secretary this year.

At the time of the AGM, I will have attended 3 hackathons (these being HackNotts '84, Hackaway v7, and HackTheBurgh X) which means I have a relatively good idea about how they operate. I want to promote hackathons as they inspire so much creativity and are really good fun to do, not to mention that they force you to get a project finished in a limited time frame! looks at backlog of shelved projects

Having been a member of HackSoc for 6 months now, I really like the environment that the society creates, I want the society to be able to continue to thrive, and I'd like to be able to say that I helped achieve that goal at some point.
