Manifesto

Hi everyone! I'm Amber, and I'm running for Trips & Hackathons Secretary because I'd like to make hackathons more accessible for members of the society. Recently I've been to many hackathons, even winning some prizes: shameless plug 1, shameless plug 2! I'm also excited to participate in HackTheBurgh in March, and Nordic Game Jam in April.

I'd really like to see a larger Nottingham representation at hackathons, and I have gathered that many people would like to attend hackathons, but are too nervous / cannot afford it / are unsure what to expect. I feel that I can effectively address some of these concerns, e.g. by organizing cheap travel for hacksoc members, or maybe even having a mini internal hackathon (e.g. a 4-hour hacking session) to show people that they are capable of making the cool projects they dream of!

Finally, I would do everything in my power to ban Zac Garby from all future hackathons, he is simply too OP.
