Hi
By happenstance, I just came across this project.
I am using Termux within Android on my tablet, and have been trying every-which-way, to install and launch GUIs for my PRoot-distro alias installations of GNU/Linux distributions, within Termux, but no cigar.
In my personal experience, on Termux, there have so far, always been significant problems in realising a GUI solution within the Termux host natively, or within a guest PRoot-distro alias GNU/Linux distribution, within Termux. This has been a decided bugbear, and significant personal frustration and hurdle. That, has so far, been insurmountable. Moreover, though an ever-noob, my technological do-ability, and problem-solving capability, is marked and formidable: and, if I have significant challenges realising this, then so do many others.
I note, that it may just be my particular tablet, or some implementation, customisation and/or system setting, that is or are, problematic. Though, to test this, I have no current basis for comparison, and I have not implemented a cloud server, with a virtual machine, to test this problematic.
Sorry, for the long introductory forerunner to the grunt and substance of my discussion post, and the thrust and upper-cut of my point, but I wonder if your project is a functional and efficient workaround and solution, for realising an effective GUI, within these particular CLI use-cases. I am calling upon the wisdom of your community to inform and illuminate my understanding and comprehension, of particular applications of your project, for the *NIX command-line interface, and Termux on Android, in particular.
I await your advice.
Cheers
Beauford
