Hi Nariman! 😆 Alright, you are the design system! In that case, I think if we're going to do this, we will just absorb the design you've infused into the products. It's probably too much work for you guys to do an actual system at this stage, totally get if that's not a priority -- completely makes sense, no worries at all! I guess Bootstrap could be a good, sort-of simple (?) template for how that could go. Or just something organized by the common UI-widgets and their parts that you'll get in an OS, perhaps like System.css or related. Similar to:
and making use of classless CSS where it's good to do so, to keep it simple and make it easy to drop in. |

Hey Puter Team,
I've been exploring the Puter ecosystem and really admire the distinct design system you've implemented. However, I noticed there isn't publicly available documentation or resources like a CSS kit to help applications align visually with Puter's design.
I believe integrating a theme for BrowserBox, specifically for the CloudTabs 'web browser within Puter' app, that matches the Puter design style could enhance user experience by minimizing cognitive and aesthetic friction. This alignment would make BrowserBox feel more native to the Puter environment, adhering to the principle of design invisibility where the tool seamlessly serves its functionality without drawing attention to itself -- I think that's the ultimate UI/UX design goal for BrowserBox, to be basically seamless and get out of the way so people can browse.
I'm proposing the development of a themed appearance for BrowserBox that resonates with Puter's design language. This wouldn't necessarily include continuous updates to match Puter's evolving style, but a start aiming for an initial alignment. If Puter's design undergoes significant changes, perhaps a member of your team could assist in updating the theme -- or at least provide guidance or CSS design system updates to facilitate an easy upgrade path.
To start this, maybe access to design files or guidelines, such as Figma links or CSS references, would be incredibly helpful, if those exist, @jelveh ? This would enable us to craft a theme that truly reflects the Puter aesthetic and meets any existing community expectations. I know there's a bunch of diverse apps with their own styles already present, but for some more "basic utility" type apps like browsers, it would be optimal to match the style of the underlying OS!
I get the constraints of time and resources, and it's probably too much to ask you guys -- so I totally get if there's nothing you can do or want to do right now -- no worries! But even a minimal level of guidance or resources from your end would be greatly appreciated.
If this idea resonates with you and you're open to supporting this initiative, please let me know what assistance you can provide!!
Thank you very much for considering this proposal. I look forward to the possibility of working together to create a more integrated and seamless user experience within the Puter ecosystem!
