Problem

After upgrading hyper to the latest canary version which was 3.1.0-canary.5, I had problems with lagging terminal and after disabling and enabling the plugins, I came to conclusion that it was Hyperline's problem.
I don't know why but it just slows down the entire app and it has a 2 second lag.

OS Version: macOS Big Sur 11.4

I appreciate your help!

Same here. Just updated hyper to the latest version and had to disable hyperline to stop the lag.

I have the same issue, Hyper is unusable with hyperline installed after upgradingt o Hyper 3.1.0 (which is now the stable release and Hyper forces the update for me even after manually downgrading) so I have had to disable hyperline completely to make the app usable in any way.

Exactly, now I can only use Hyper without Hyperline enabled.
They should fix it somehow.

This package hasn't been updated since 2018... Don't count on it

Since you'll see more traction on this in hyper's repo, here's the issue to follow: vercel/hyper#5754
The lag appears to be due to a bug in electron (see electron/electron#26143), not a bug in this plugin.

Confirming resolved for me in Hyper 3.3.
