Would it be possible to have optional GPU support?

I see that Guetzli has a fork that aims to support GPU and claims to be MUCH faster.

But perhaps cuda and opencl aren't options on the Mac anyway?

Do any of the other libraries support GPU acceleration? They are all much faster than Guetzli but would still be useful when handling large batches.
