What happened?When i run Doesn't apply to any theming that i can tell - it's the first thing i do after installing OMP and restarting my terminal (PowerShell 7.4.0-preview.4) Strangely, this laptop is the only machine i've had trouble with, so i'm not sure it's a bug, but i would definitely appreciate some help. i'm reporting here it in case there is some compatibility issue discovered. ThemeNo theme, this is immediately after install, i haven't selected a theme yet. @JanDeDobbeleer Having the same issue, no proxy, no network restrictions, can confirm this page works https://api.github.com/repos/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/releases/latest Btw kindof unrelated, but initially I installed via msft store, which installed 16.* version, updated via winget and tried again, restarted no luck. uninstalled and installed via winget, got latest version but same issue. |

@gunnim it calls the API, so not exactly that page. I just validated it myself and it works on my end. We also upped the timeouts so that shouldn't be an issue. |

Had the same issue : Turns out my VPN was disconnected (I use it on my work laptop which requires a VPN to connect to certain services). Connected to the VPN tried it out and as you can see, it installed the CascadiaCode. My suggestion would first see if you can load the endpoint to get the fonts from a separate terminal. |

@ChienVVDev the configured font in your terminal is incorrect. Have a look at their documentation how to set the correct font name (and make sure the name is correct). |

It Finally worked after I connected my mobile - > Connections -> Hotspot and did all the process only with this network, disabling the others (Wi-Fi, Local Area Connection, Bluetooth Network). |

No VPNs, no Proxy settings. However, i went on a hunch and looked at network adapters. i thought maybe my VirtualBox connections might be interfering... i went through toggling all of them on and off, and got to this:
Apparently i have to corner the application into using the actual active connection (Wi-Fi). If the local Ethernet port is on, (the application?) ignores Wi-Fi and tries to use the LAN connection only. |

I was having similar issues with the font download and in my case it seemed oh-my-posh was using incorrect DNS setting associated with an enabled but dormant VPN interface. All other commands run from powershell used the system wifi setting pointing at google DNS, but when I ran wireshark on the failed session to see what was actually happened I saw A/AAAA queries for api.github.com heading to totally bollox private IPs. Further digging showed that those IPs were associated with a wireguard VPN tunnel interface that wasn't currently in use. I went into device manager and uninstalled the corresponding driver, at which stage the tunnel interface disappeared from my network adapter list and the install fonts commands sprang into life Is it possible your code to determine the correct DNS servers to use is getting confused under such conditions ?? |

I got the same error on windows 11 also. disabling connections to let only 1 didn't help (both wired and wireless tried isolated each time to no use) edit: downloaded directly from nerdfonts.com via browser and installed, it worked. But it needs to be adressed on the oh-my-posh package tough 😞 |
