Up until now, Kitura relied on Travis-CI. Unfortunately it looks like Travis-CI is closing off their free service and only allowing it on a case-by-case basis. I've been trying to go through this process, but after the initial inquiries they have been unresponsive. I'm not sure when Travis will pull the plug, but it may be necessary to move to GitHub actions. I'm open to other alternatives if anyone has any suggestions? If anyone is interested in helping in this area, please let me know.
Also Docker HUB rate limiting is affecting some of our CI tests. In addition I've found some bottlenecks in the way our current CI pull Swift binaries. So I'm experimenting with relying more on pre-build Docker images. The images will be available to the public via Docker HUB (https://hub.docker.com/orgs/kitura), but for CI purposes, we'll rely on the private mirror so as not to put undue load on the server. It's also routed through CloudFlare, which will hopefully help. (Note: This is a work-in-progress and image names may change, so don't rely on it too much yet).
I’ll be documenting these things when things stabilize a bit.
