After latest cygwin updated, no cygwin terminals work, not bash, not zsh.
Launching cygwin directly via their console emulator works without problems.

A simple rebuild of the connector didn't help, unfortunately. I need to check what's broken there.
I have the same issue. I'm using Windows 11. Everything was previously working fine.
With the latest cygwin update (3.5.1-1) the problem seems to be solved. At least for me has been fixed.
EDIT: The installed cygwin version can be checked with the following command: uname -a
