This appears to be occurring when the recipient has not enable messaging. I thought enabling of messaging was now required to make an offer.

@shahthepro, I think you know most about messaging and onboarding lately. Can you think of any exceptions to the above?

Remediation of this issue would be:

  • fixing any exceptions to making of offers without messaging being enabled
  • graphql+dapp needs to handle this case better

@mikeshultz this appears to be ramping up in Sentry and a user just reported it in Discord. 😐
