Overview

Hi! First, thanks for the great app! I love it's simplicity and UI and everything, and I use it for 3+ years without any problems.

But currently my 96 years old grandmother face the (major) issue that prevents her from using the last versions of the app.

In old versions the following worked:

  1. Plug in the headphones and start the playback.
  2. Plug out the headphones - the playback will pause.
  3. Plug in the headphones again - the playback will resume.

Currently step 3 doesn't work as expected - the playback remains paused.

I don't have access to all versions, so I tested on some from apkpure site.
The last version where it works - 6.1.2.
Starting from 7.0.7 it doesn't work.

I really hope it will be fixed soon. The grandmother can't see good enough, so she can't always touch the screen correctly, so she mostly relies on plugging the headphones. I am not sure if everyone likes when the app behaves like this, so please kindly consider to add the switch into settings.

Thanks in advance!
Anton

How to reproduce

  1. Plug in the headphones.
  2. Start the playback.
  3. Plug out the headphones - the playback will pause.
  4. Plug in the headphones again - the playback is expected to be resumed, but it is not.

I'll look into it at some point. In the meantime you can download old version directly from Github:

I have no idea where apkpure obtained the Voice version from and wouldn't trust it.
