Here's some info I got from Beni Stocker last year (w/ Ensheng Weng and Hoen Hufkens CCed)
Here’s the link (website, with link to GitHub) to our implementation of Ensheng Weng’s LM3-PPA into rsofun, our ecosystem model “wrapper” in R: https://computationales.github.io/rsofun/
A brief worked example for running it is given here. Koen Hufkens (in cc) is leading the development now.
We’ve also implemented the P-model (Stocker et al., 2020 GMD) for acclimation of photosynthesis into the LM3-PPA and simulating GPP in the form of a light use efficiency model, see here. This runs at a daily time step and is therefore about an order of magnitude faster than the original LM3-PPA.
It would be great if this could be made useful within Pecan. We’re working on the calibration of this model with Bayesiantools. Calibration is now implemented as part of the package, see function calib_sofun() - but we have not yet dealt with doing it in a probabilistic manner.
