The Tangram has a hard coded solution to solve it and each tangram outline (grey shape outline) might possibly be solvable in different ways. IE. the small triangle+ a small triangle could be the same as the medium triangle. the medium triangle + small triangle+ small triangle could be the same as the big triangle. However the solution for solving the puzzle doesn't take that into account.
