  • [???] This is not a report about my app not working as expected

Foreword

Hello,
If i should go elsewhere with this, please tell me where and I will go there. The "report a bug" just redirects me to the general proton support website, so I thought that this would be the best place for this.

Background

I have a lot of Emacs' org-mode files, which are basically plain text.
Recently I have uploaded one of those files with just for lines of plain text without markup and the app said that preview for this format is not supported.
Okay, I thought, I'll just change the file extension to .txt. That did not work -- drive seems to interpret the content based on the original file extension.

What I suggest/want

  1. Add support for .org file format, even if it is just treating it as plain text. Markup of course could be nice and markdown is already there so there is a base for it.
  2. Make drive interpret the files based on the current extension and not the original one. If you are worried that newbies will hurt themselves in the process you may add a popup saying "Changing the file extension is likely to break it. Are you sure you want to this?"
