It seems that the xl2tpd crashed when booting up.

'xl2tpd crashed with SIGSEGV'

'destination "0x188" not located in a known VMA region!'

The OS is Ubuntu Gnome 14.10,with amd64 and everything updated.

@YorkHorten I have encountered this bug on a router server (Ubuntu Server 14.10 "Utopic Unicorn"). In the end I chose Debian stable "wheezy". Maybe it is good for you.

Issue solved after install the Ubuntu GNOME 14.04.1. Seem like a compatibility issue between 14.10 and xl2tpd.
