We are using enhanced recurring donations for one of our customers. We have observed something weird and looking for some help?
Issue we are facing is:
For a recurring donation which is scheduled for 1st May (Next Donation Date = 1st May), then on 2nd May NPSP is auto updating the RD Next Donation Date to 1st June. Because the Next Donation Date is updated, NPSP is also creating the next opportunity.
This means I will have 2 open opportunities on the RD.

Due to payment failure, my current opportunity needs to be kept open to retry few more times.

Is there a way to enforce that next opportunity is only created when current opportunity is marked as Closed?

@mayurspgit When you opened the issue, you may have noticed Salesforce added this to their issue template?
