Description

The Flip Animation is displayed, although only the url changes and the website is not refreshed.

Environment

  • Device: Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930F
  • OS: Android 8.0.0

To reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Go to 'https://www.openstreetmap.org'
  2. Click on '+' to zoom in
    -> the url changes (gps coordinates)
  3. Flip animation is carried out.

Expected behaviour

Flip animation is not carried out. (As in google-chrome).

You can disable animations from Settings / Look & Feel / Tab

The one you are looking for I believe is the last one, when following a link. Though that bug should really be looked into as it should not trigger in that case.

Typically if you follow a link to another fragment in the same page it triggers that follow link animation and creates a new page history entry. That's notably the case when you click on TOC entries on http://fulguris.slions.net

For OSM however it does not create a new page history entry whenever you zoom in but still triggers the follow link animation. Maybe we could somehow check if a new page history entry was created before we trigger the animation.

We could also possibly just disable animation when following a link to a different fragment on the same page.
