Now that we have a user service and we can permanently store use preferences, we should explore solutions to have a cookie banner and allow users to opt out of collecting unnecessary data. In our case, I can think only of Sentry that profiles user actions, but we should double-check that it's the only case we can turn off.

Mind that this issue is mainly to collect ideas on how to proceed:

• What tools are available (I assume there are many ready-to-use solutions)
• What are the changes needed in the UI
• What we need from the data service backend
