Could you give me a list of working laptops? preferably high-end? I need a new one and really wanted to do a gpu passthrough on it, but it is almost impossible to test this setup before buying it

I have created https://gpu-passthrough.com/ for this purpose.
(It's actually linked in the Readme.)

You could simply order a notebook from amazon or another retailer with similar return policies, test it and if it doesn't work, send it back.

Your best bet is a notebook with an Intel CPU and a 9XXm or 8XXm GPU.

If you're planning to go with a Windows guest, you will have major problems running lots of 3d applications, no matter which notebook you use until someone figures these issues out.

There is a good chance that newer notebooks with amd cpu and amd gpu would work best, but my scripts can currently only handle intel+nvidia. So you'd have to figure it out yourself or search the Internet if you can find information about it.
