Symptoms

Game launches to a black screen with sound unless you drop down to proton 4.11-13, 5.0-10 and 5.13-6 just crash on launch and 6.3-8 onward launches to a black screen. Checking protondb, the following games from this dev seem to suffer from this.

I only have the one game to check, but protondb says these all share the same problem and are by the same publisher.

Hi there and thank you for the report.
Similar to doitsujin/dxvk#3986 (comment) this also uses ANGLE d3d11 which requires currently unimplemented DirectComposition support.

Disabling dcomp so it uses a fallback WINEDLLOVERRIDES=dcomp=d or switching to d3d9 --use-angle=d3d9 makes it render.
