Hey, thanks for the detailed description! @andrelfpinto some stuff I'd try on your machine:
scala-cli clean .
scala-cli --power bloop exit
Please let me know if any of these helped. scala-cli run hello.sc --server=false cc @tgodzik |
@Gedochao, thanks for the quick reply!
I need to help you to help me ;) None of the options worked for me, unfortunately (only skipping Bloop):
Not even all three combined:
|
Some further ideas for troubleshooting:
scala-cli --power bloop exit
scala-cli hello.sc --bloop-version 1.5.12-sc-1 |
@Gedochao, thank you for your patience. First idea didn't work:
Then I tried the combo (1st and 2nd ideas):
In my understanding, the command to exit bloop would exit all bloop related stuff, but something was still holding the bloop folder. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work:

We need to add some more logs to https://github.com/scala-cli/bloop-core/blob/1b24bf257f091e7a37a6d72fc85faacf8d9e6a49/bloop-rifle/src/bloop/rifle/internal/Operations.scala#L82 and also maybe fallback to TCP, which might help here |
Is there any way for me to test bloop in isolation or isn't it worth the trouble for solving this problem? |
I'm not sure what do you mean by BTW, @andrelfpinto you can try with version |
I suppose you could also test if mainline Bloop has the same problems on your machine 🤔 I'm not sure if any of this would be helpful troubleshooting BTW, but if you want to get your hands dirty and try stuff... |
Hi, sorry for not responding sooner.
I will give a try in the other suggestions about Bloop. |
Just saw that bloop-core dropped support for Java < 17.
|
This shouldn't influence it. Unless you try to force the Java version used by Bloop, if you have <17 in your JAVA_HOME, Thanks for your inputs. We'll need to add more logging in places to try to debug this. |
Thank you for the explanation, and thank you for looking into this so promptly. By the way, I can't wait for
No worries, I wait.
