How to handle obsolete or unused zc config entries #487

I'm not sure what we should do about them in general. I'm going to start adding
various situations in this ticket so we can get a handle on this.

some entries like USE_FQDN in sessions just make no sense and should be replaced
by a cookie domain. Others might be useful with a different set of options like
the email transport list.

I assume that we'll provide our own configuration table at some point, but it seems
in the near term we need to work with the existing structure.

Some options include:

  • ignore entire configuration groups and provide own replacements
  • try to update or delete existing useless entries.
  • scrap it all and just try to convert defines to settings and build our own.
