I think that the automatic creation of Weekly Digests as an issue might become annoying if there are too many Weekly Digests in a repository and the old Weekly Digests aren't closed.

What I propose is that immediately before the bot creates a new Weekly Digests, it closes the old Weekly Digest(s) having weekly-digest label if they exist.

I am thinking of enabling it by default and will provide user option to disable it.
Let me know what do you think.

Sounds great! Makes a lot of sense to me to close these issues :)

@aps120797 nice idea, one thing though.

Suppose while opening the weekly digest issue, there is an error and so the issue is not created, but the app would have already closed the last weekly digest issue by then. Why not close the last weekly digest issue only after the new weekly digest issue is opened?

what about using one issue and adding comments so everything is easily viewed in one place?

@steveoh I think that's the right idea, too. We brought this up here: nock/nock#1211 (comment). Linking to keep track of this feature.

+1 to this feature. It would be great if old issues are closed automatically

@abhijeetps I would like to help in the addition of this feature is it still open ?
