Perform app upgrade
Icon displays as default Rather than selected

Hi there! It is strange that you are experiencing that. On my android test devices, the custom icon persists. If anyone else is experiencing this and can add more information that may help me reproduce, please let me know!
I'm using a non-standard launcher called Neo Launcher (open source
available on F-Droid). Could that be related?
