Hello
I have tried using this component with multiple different screenreaders, and am very happy with its behavior on FireFox+NVDA, Chrome+JAWS and Android+TalkBack. But on my iPad Gen7 (iPadOS 15.0) I can't get the dropdown to work properly.
When writing on the keyboard, the dropdown opens as expected with the results list, but when I try to navigate the dropdown, it keeps closing.
I have tried navigating both using swipe and explore by touch, but both causes the dropdown to close.
I am using version 2.0.3 in my own project, but am able to replicate on your examples page: https://alphagov.github.io/accessible-autocomplete/examples/

Maybe because the iPad user agent no longer contains the "iPad" keyword. It's now the same as a mac. In the autocomplete code, there are multiple fix to avoid closing the listbox on iPhone/iPad while using VoiceOver.
