Odata v3 support (e.g. Sharepoint)

I understand its an outdated version, that said there are many enterprise customers using e.g. sharepoint wich sadly does not support odata v4.

Why does this matter:
Working against the sharepoint api is dreadful and being able to leverage graphql instead would be a blessing for developers. In addition its another a low friction use case for enterprises to get started with graphql.

I have looked if there are odata v3 to v4 proxy but could not locate any. If there is one that would work as well.

While there is no proxy, there are projects that offer conversion from odata to openapi. I'm currently checking if any of them can produce a correct openapi spec from odata v3, if so I will report back here for others to find.

@ntziolis OData is complicated specification and mixing v3 and v4 in the same handler can break things. PRs are welcome if you think it is possible.

I found this and it uses MS Graph API. We have an example for MS Graph.

Thank you for the link, somehow I missed that link and will report back if this gets the job done. Based on the statement on the website any new development is supposed to hit ms graph first which would be desirable.

Note to others finding this thread:
Converting a large odata 3 spec (like from sharepoint) to openapi takes A LOT of time (no matter which of the tooling). I'm talking 30-45min+ on a beefy machine. So likely not a path anyone will wanne go down.
