Sonoff Dual R3 v2 not responding to external switch

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

Have flashed a Sonoff Dual R3 v2 and applied the template available here https://templates.blakadder.com/sonoff_DUALR3_v2 and performed the following:

• Ensure that the first relay opens the shutter
• Ensure that the second relay closes the shutter
• Set ShutterRelay
• Set ShutterOpenDuration
• Set ShutterCloseDuration

I can control the shutter (venetian blinds with tilt) properly from the tasmota UI, but the external switch buttons does nothing

Whenever using a Switch input, do review what SwitchMode suits your use case. I'm not using blinds/shutters, but the docs page suggests that the switch pairs should "usually" be SwitchMode 2 for "inverse follow". Whether that works, I have no opinion on 😉

I guess you mean this paragraph:
When using a switch for manual operation Switch<x> pairs should usually be set to SwitchMode<x> 2 (inverse follow) for proper switch behavior.
In my case I have a double external switch (both perform ON-OFF) with two buttons https://www.clasf.pt/interruptor-estore-legrand-suno-branco-em-portugal-11110321/.

Should I then run the command SwitchMode 2 in the tasmota console? Or something else? This is my template configuration:

Again, you should review if the current SwitchMode settings suits your use case. Other than that, I cannot say what you "should" do, but based on the docs, it does look like SwitchMode 2 is a reasonable thing to try, if you did not already use that.

Hi all,
for some period of time, I've used the Sonoff Dual R3 v2 to switch lights in dining room.
Unfortunatelly, after several months has the device stopped to react to switch (S1), so I've moved the circuit to S2. It worked for several more mothts. Two days ago again - again no response to external switch.
Device is live, can turn lights via MQTT commands on and off - just ignoring the input from physical switches.
I've opened the device - nothing seems to be burn out......... I've replaced the device with new Mini R4 - will see, if it lasts longer.....
