Why wait 10s between the steps?

I found that the pod corresponding to each step has a 10s interval when starting. Where is this set and can I adjust it?

To be specific, DEFAULT_REQUEUE_TIME is a Controller environment variable that currently defaults to 10s. You can decrease that, but that in turn can overwhelm your k8s API, so be careful in changing that.
