Currently, the AWS Toolkit does not support Python 3.12, which limits developers' ability to leverage the latest features and improvements introduced in Python 3.12, in particular the ability to run Lambda functions locally using the IDE tools and automations.

I would like to request support for Python 3.12.
This would enable developers to seamlessly work with Python 3.12 in their AWS projects, taking advantage of the newest language features and improvements while leveraging AWS services directly within their IDE environment.

There is a PR moving this forward but hasn't been moving forward. #4015
