Please acknowledge the following before creating a ticket

I have read the GitHub issues section of REPORTING-BUGS.

Fio read 16 bytes instead of expected 128k.

Environment: Ubuntu 22

fio version: fio-3.28

Reproduction steps
I cannot say how to reproduce this.
But if i setup bs=8 (less than 16) fio would read 8.
