Back My Stack (and github) believe my project is in TSQL and subsequently doesn't analyze its dependencies. But this is only because a large SQL seed file is committed to the repo. Really the project is mostly JavaScript and ReasonML.

Perhaps it could simply look for the presence of a package.json in root rather than rely on github's language detection.

Where is the code that does the detection?

I know buildpack tools like herokuish do language detection by project contents. Maybe something can be reused from there.
