There is <title> tag inside of the <svg> but unfortunately it does not work as a tooltip https://github.com/badgen/badgen/blob/master/src/index.ts#L60

If <title> is placed inside of the <g> tag, browser renders it as a tooltip.

How about a forward-compatible tooltip parameter?

const svgString = badgen({
  ...,
  tooltip: 'text'
})
