jezebel does not run on Windows due to problems with the use of NODE_PATH and the lack of variable support in cmd-shim #9

In a discussion concerning npm issue #3380, it was suggested that jezebel removes the usage of NODE_PATH, since

It looks like Jezebel is trying to use NODE_PATH as a polyfill for the now-removed require.paths.
That is not supported, recommended, safe, or guaranteed to work reliably. You should report the bug to them.

Eventhough I've submitted a pull request to fix cmd-shim, it was not accepted due to the extra complexity it adds.
