If you have added countryCodeEditable={false} and the elements saved by browser doesn't have the correct prefix, the phone input is not autofilled. Please let me know if you need any other details.

Possible fix is here #356, but I cannot confirm it is working. If anyone experiencing the bug, please create minimal demo example, confirm that the suggested fix is working, and explain why mainCode is excluded from that PR.
