Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A clear and concise description of what the problem is. Ex. I'm always frustrated when [...]

While I'm still getting used to dataview, I can imagine a case where I would want to have some default filtering or query that I'd want to have

Describe the solution you'd like
A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
I'd love it if there were options to some sort of default dataview query language, such as limiting to 100 results, so that partially formed queries don't end up indexing all files in my vault.

Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.
I suppose I could work on templates to just auto insert a dataview block that has some of these built in filters that I might want, but I haven't gotten around to that
Perhaps also just having a built in # of results default in the settings could work ... not sure!

Additional context

Thanks for all the help Devs!

If you add LIMIT 100 at the end of your query, you get just those 100 entries... When you're satisified with your search, just remove it again.
