Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It's not a problem, but a suggest :)
BPG has many features but I always need to configure ZFS pool (node level) and ZFS storage (cluster level) manually :'(

Describe the solution you'd like
Searching by one solution, I found a provider write by Matthew Rawlings (awlsring). It has a proxmox_zfs_pool and proxmox_zfs_storage_class resources, but it needs some adjusts, for example:

  • proxmox_zfs_pool could have add storage, compression and ashift arguments.
  • proxmox_zfs_storage_class could have thin provision argument.
  • The documentation is not good (for example, I don't know what argument value I must put in raid_level argument type in proxmox_zfs_pool resource)

Describe alternatives you've considered
I suggest:

  • or to ask Matthew to do a PR in BPG repository and be a contributor (I don't know if is complex or not)
  • or use his code as inspiration to include these features in BPG.
