Just to clarify. Do you advise to not support SQLite or do you suggest we should prioritize other database first? If it's the latter, which databases do you have in mind? |

As of 1.0.0, we have migrated to PostgreSQL, the instance is self-contained in our bundled bytebase binary. But there is no plan to support connecting to a remote PostgreSQL. Our current thought is how data is persistent should mostly be transparent to Bytebase user. And the most primitive way to expose it is just to tell our user there is a directory storing our data and you need to backup that data. |

Although SQLite is a good choice for light-weight access, it might not be the best choice for all users.
Some reasons I can think of to add support for other databases:
