The current Patching Tool Info portlet (version 1.0.0) runs the patching-tool in a command line interface shell with option "info".
Some users have requested the ability to run other patching-tool options from the Patching Tool Info portlet to provide additional details of their Liferay Portal environment (e.g. index-info, list-collisions, support-info).
As the patching-tool has evolved, it has added more options / features. Not all options are available in all versions of the patching-tool.
For example, patching-tool version 21, allows the user to run option "support-info", which is not available in earlier releases.
NOTE: Some options are potentially destructive to a live Liferay Portal environment (eg. install, revert), hence the user should be prevented from running the patching-tool with such options.
