I tried editing the Base.colors file and the panel-background.svgz files but no success. I wanted to build a theme that were, let's say, 30% transparent on the panel

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm not quite sure how you would achieve this. Maybe look into Kvantum themes, or try to copy in a panel-background.svgz from a theme that's implemented transparency.

Transparency is however not planned currently, so I suppose you would be on your own here.

Is there any update for this? With Plasma 6 latte-dock is dead and a transparent background panel is essential.
Did anyone find out how to do it by either modifying .kvconfig or the theme itself?

How is it even possible for latte-dock to work , its api's are in QT5 and none has updated them to QT6. It shouldn't even be able to start. Also im assuming you use X11? I heard its buggy in Wayland in Plasma 5.27.

But anyway back on track. I guess you haven't found out how to make the panel transparent by modifying the config right... :( ?

My dear, things in QT5 will run normally on Plasma 6...

And i am on wayland.

And answering your question: i just give up using catppuccin theme. I am using MacSonoma-KDE, cause if i edit the panel-background.svgz on it, it works
